The Nothing Compares 2U singer has faced a barrage of criticism this week for her highly provocative posts on Twitter.
Sinead O’Connor – who recently changed her name to Shuhada’ Davitt after converting to Islam – has been attacking different faiths and races on Twitter.
In one post, she said: “I’m terribly sorry. What I’m about to say is something so racist I never thought my soul could feel it.
“But truly I never wanna spend time with white people again (if that’s what non-Muslims are called).
“Not for one moment, for any reason. They are disgusting.”
She was told she had “no respect” and was inciting hatred by her followers.
But ignoring the criticism she received, she then hit out at the Jewish, Christian and Catholic faiths.
She then concluded her lengthy rant and said: “Final word. If it’s ‘crazy’ to care. Then by all means, spank my a** and call me fruity loops.”
Sinead’s stream of consciousness on Twitter came despite her saying she would be taking a break from social media after converting to Islam.
But it appears she has now done just that, as her most recent Twitter page is no longer active.
Only her old Twitter page is still valid, where she refers to herself as Sinead O’Connor as opposed to Shuhada’ Davitt – which means “martyr” in Arabic.
Last year, she sparked concern among her fans when she shared a 12-minute video where she discussed having “suicidal thoughts” and also revealed her struggles with mental illness.
The nineties pop sensation – who was misdiagnosed with bipolar in 2011 – admitted she felt lonely.
The 51-year-old said: “I’m all by myself, there’s absolutely nobody in my life. I’m now living in a Travelodge motel in the a**s end of New Jersey.
“No one except my psychiatrist – who is the sweetest man on Earth who says I’m his hero – and that’s about the only f**king thing keeping me alive at the moment.
“The fact that I’m his bloody hero. And that’s kind of pathetic.”
