The Queen, Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are no strangers when it comes to the cameras and now it has emerged what they like to watch when the spotlight is off. The Queen, 93, is no stranger to embracing new technology and according to a leading British actress, likes to flick through Netflix. Actress Vanessa Kirby, 31, has claimed the Queen watches the award winning drama ‘The Crown’.

Netflix-original drama chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940s to modern times.

Ms Kirby plays Princess Margaret in the royal biopic.

The 31-year-old told The Graham Norton Show one of the Queen’s grandchildren said the British monarch is a fan of a the series.

Ms Kirby told the BBC: “A friend of mine was at a party where he didn’t know anyone so sidled up to a group who were discussing the show.

“One of the women said, ‘My granny kind of likes it.’ It turns out it was one of the princesses – the Queen’s granddaughter.

“It’s quite a reliable source – ish – so I am sure she is a fan!”

The Queen’s eldest grandchild Prince William apparently has been hooked on the BBC drama Killing Eve, according to its producer Sally Woodward Gentle, Hello! reports.

Killing Eve is a British spy thriller television series shown on the BBC.

Ms Woodward Gentle met the Duke of Cambridge at the BAFTA exhibition this month and revealed he his a fan of the show.

She said: “Apparently he has watched it all. We didn’t test him, but he did say it was quite a final ending to series two.

“So at least he watched the last three minutes of the last episode! He said he loved it.”

The Killing Eve producer also gave William some memorabilia worn by lead actress Jodie Comer – who plays assassin Villanelle.

William, 37, and his wife Kate, Duchess of Cambridge also liked watching Game of Thrones at Kensington Palace, according to actor Tom Wlaschiha.

Mr Wlaschiha who plays Jaquan H’ghar in the medieval fantasy epic said the royal couple “watched every series”.

He told the Evening Standard: “They wanted spoilers but I said I couldn’t tell them. I’m surprised they have time to watch such a long running series.”

Prince Harry, who has endured a whirlwind 18 months following his marriage to Meghan Markle and birth of his son Archie, revealed one of his favourite movies in 2014.

During the 50-year anniversary of the movie Zulu, Harry said: “I watch this film every single year before Christmas time. Maybe once. Maybe twice.”

Meanwhile Prince Charles during a previously visit to Cornwall revealed intrigue around the BBC drama Poldark.

The revolutionary drama is set in 18th-century Cornwall.

During a visit to the country with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, said: “What I can’t get over, watching that Poldark stuff on TV, is how many he wrote.”
