The Chase star Anne Hegerty and The Inbetweeners’ Emily Atack became unlikely friends after meeting on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! last year.
It’s clear their bond has lasted since then, as Anne came to Emily’s defence after a Twitter troll targeted her looks.
Blonde beauty Emily took to the social platform to share her excitement over a new role she’d landed.
Proving her star is on the rise, the 29-year-old revealed: “Thrilled to announce I’ll be playing Debbie Harry in Sky Arts new season of Urban Myths”
“What a sad c*** you are, Steve”
She accompanied the tweet with a promotional photo showing her as the Blondie front woman.
But it seems not all of her 280,000 followers were fans, as one cruelly replied: “Sorry. You’re just not pretty enough.”
Emily’s I’m A Celeb co-star Anne saw the response and had something to say herself.
She told him: “What a sad c*** you are, Steve.”
The brainiac’s tweet went viral, with more than 2.3k retweets and 18.1k likes, with many surprised at Anne’s outburst.
It seems the 60-year-old was on a roll though, after a parody account for Egghead’s Kevin Ashman asked why she wasn’t following them.
Anne replied: “I’m not following you because you’re not actually Kevin, you d***head.”
The backlash doesn’t seem to be bothering Emily though, as she replied to her troll with a funny face emoji.
This year is already proving to be huge for Emily, who returned to the spotlight after being the runner-up in last year’s I’m A Celeb.
Earlier this month, it was announced that she’d been given a range with In The Style, with the promo campaign not using airbrushing.
It’s reported she earned a whopping £500,000 for the deal with the brand, which also works with Charlotte Crosby and Dani Dyer.
